FIRE, SAFETY AND DISASTER DRILLS

Leaping Learners will conduct fire drills and disaster drills to test the effectiveness of our safety procedures and to familiarize staff and children.

The supervising teacher will give specific directions for these drills. Children must be ready to listen and follow directions. Disaster drills may last for a longer period of time.

In the event of an emergency that requires evacuation of the building the fire alarm will sound.

Everyone in the building will evacuate as quickly, orderly and safely as possible. There are evacuation diagrams posted throughout the center. The children will be directed to the nearest exit that takes them safely out of the building.
