...What is a Room Parent? ...

A Room Parent at Leaping Learners Early Learning Center is one of the most important jobs a parent can volunteer for. First and foremost, a Room Parent aides / assist the Classroom Teacher in any projects, events, activities, playtime, etc. The Room Parent is the main line of communication between the teachers, administration, classroom, and parents. Our Room Parents are dedicated, responsible parents who are willing to invest time and energy to make our center a wonderful experience for our school children.

Responsibilities of a Room Parent:

• Child must be a current member of Leaping Learners Childcare & Early Learning Center
• Obeys childcare center rules and policies.
• Liaison between the parents, teachers and community.
• Attends all Parent /Teacher meetings.
• Meet with teachers, at request to discuss the month's activities.
• Assist teacher in any and all activities, functions, etc. As needed or requested.
• Work closely with other Room Parent- Make a joint effort.

Goals

• To assist the administration, faculty, and school boards in providing
  a quality education for all students.
• To facilitate parental involvement.
• To provide support for individual teachers for special projects and activities.
• To promote harmonious relationships within the school family.
