WEATHER EMERGENCY

Should an emergency occur at school, it may fall into the following categories: safety and disaster, tornado procedures, accidents, injuries and illness, General procedures for individuals (Children) are as follows:

• Primary concern for the welfare and safety of the children
• Communicating with the parents/home regarding the emergency
• Consultations with the center's Director/Administration and taking action required

Leaping Learnerswill not open if the weather threatens the safety of children and staff. Listen to

your local television stations for weather related announcements/ closings.

Leaping Learners will close for weather conditions when Henry County Schools close.

Tornado Procedures:Should the U.S. Weather Service broadcast a tornado alert or severe weather bulletin the center will take all necessary precautions. This includes relocating all children to the safest part of our center and keeping them inside the center until an all-clear bulletin is announced.
